Our Team

WHAT WE DO

Life doesn’t always go as planned — jobs are lost, relationships break down, and sometimes one difficult choice can lead to hardship. But homelessness is rarely a choice. When the unthinkable happens, we want to be a place where men and women can find safety, support, and hope. At Peninsula Rescue Mission, we help equip people with practical tools as they transition through a crises towards stability.

Our Ministries

  • Your donations and patronage provide financial support to the overall ministry of PRM and a safe space for our program men to learn valuable skills. Click here to learn more about our thrift store.

  • The House of Hope will be our Women’s Ministry home, located at 9308 Warwick Blvd. opening in the early Summer of 2025. This beautiful space will offer a safe, supportive environment for up to 20 women as they work toward healing and stability. Click here to learn more about our Women’s Ministry.

  • The House of Refuge is our Men’s Emergency Shelter, located at 3700 Huntington Ave. in downtown Newport News. Our doors are open 365 days a year to welcome men who find themselves without a home. Learn more about our Men’s Ministry.

  • We help to meet the needs of struggling families and individuals through several community outreach initiatives throughout the year. This is a way that we can share the love of Christ in a very practical way. Click here to learn more about our community outreach.
